The Dynamics of Light-Filled Landscape Painting: Capturing Light and Color
February 6,7,8, 2015
Learn how to fine-tune your powers of observation and develop your own artistic style based on an understanding of fundamental principles. This workshop will cover the basic principles of light, how to determine the color of light, and how to create the movement of light on the canvas.
We will cover color mixing, how to apply color and value to light relationships, and how to develop form and perspective in the landscape through the use of light and color. The components of composition, developing depth, aerial perspective, light and shade, and form in the landscape will also be covered as well as discussions of tools of the trade. Fee: All levels.
Painting Clouds and Skies
Learn the dynamics of cloud formations, and how to use depth and perspective to create light-filled dramatic skies. This will be a combination studio as well as plein air class.
